Consultation
Targeted consultation
We held a targeted consultation on localised changes to the Scheme between Wednesday 7 January and Wednesday 4 February 2026.
Since our stage two consultation, held between 19 September and 29 October 2025, we have been reviewing the feedback received and carrying out surveys and assessments to help inform our Scheme design. As a result of these surveys and design refinements, together with the feedback received during our stage two consultation, we have made some localised changes to the Scheme design.
These include new fields within the existing solar development area boundary that are proposed to host solar panels, and enlarged footprints for the 132kV on-site substations and 400kV on-site substation and BESS compound. Our targeted consultation was on these changes.
We wrote to local stakeholders in close proximity to the changes to notify them of the targeted consultation and explain how to provide feedback. Details of these changes are set out in our targeted consultation information booklet, which can be found on the Documents page.
All comments will be considered alongside the feedback received during our stage two consultation as we prepare our Development Consent Order Application.
Stage two consultation
Our stage two consultation for the Scheme was held between Wednesday 17 September and Wednesday 29 October 2025.
We held a series of in-person events at publicly accessible venues where you were able to view and discuss our more detailed plans for Kingsway Solar with members of the project team. We also uploaded an online information presentation which provided an overview of the proposals. The video is available on the Documents page.
We also created a virtual consultation room where you could view our proposals online.
Stage one consultation
Our stage one consultation for Kingsway Solar took place between October and December 2024 and involved three in-person public events and an online webinar. The consultation introduced the proposals to the local community and sought feedback on the initial proposals.
The feedback received, along with our ongoing stakeholder engagement, and continued surveys and assessments helped to shape our more detailed proposals that we presented as part of our stage two consultation.

If you would like to read more about the key themes that were raised during the stage one consultation and how we have been working to address and incorporate the comments into our design is available in the stage two consultation materials, which you can read on the Documents page.
